Looking for mental health care?
Kikta Behavioral Health LLC could be your answer.
Sliding Scale Policy
Kikta Behavioral Health holds strong values in being able to provide high quality mental health care to our community regardless of inability to pay. As such, clients may be eligible to qualify for our sliding scale discount rate. Our policy follows the guidelines of the United States Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration. As a result, it is updated annually based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
Kikta’s Sliding Fee Schedule for 2024 is as follows:
Client eligibility will be determined by the application process. This application will include demographic information (name, address, phone number, email address), number of people in the household - including names, relationship and dates of birth, and household’s annual wages. All applicants must provide one of the following: prior year W-2, two most recent pay stubs, letter from employer, or Form 4506-T (if W-2 not filed) to verify income.
By law, we cannot accept monies from Medicaid recipients; therefore, the above chart indicates possible reductions in fees for those that are not receiving Medicaid benefits. Those that are recipients of Medicaid services have no-fee for mental health services at Kikta Behavioral Health LLC.
All approved sliding scale clients must notify Kikta of income changes immediately for rereview of criterion. Additionally, Kikta can request continued proof of eligibility every 6 months or if reasonable belief exists that income circumstances have changed.
Clients will be notified 30 days in advance of any change in fees based on a shift in clinician’s credentials. At which time the client will be allowed to change therapists to match their preferred fee structure if such availability exists.
Any questions regarding this policy can be addressed by our Clinical Director, Maya Redhorse. mayaredhorse@kiktabh.com.
